Marina Barrett and Darren Barton have been playing music in Alberta for a lot of years.

Darren; a multi-instrumentalist hails from an extremely musical southern Alberta family, with deep roots in classic country and folk.

You’ll find him most weekends sharing the stage with Pistol Noon; at a barn dance or anywhere there’s a Bacon & Tomato sandwich.

Marina; born on the East Coast grew up singing at kitchen parties and local honky-tonks from the tender age of 3 years. Admittedly a proud ‘band nerd’, she played Bass Clarinet in school; and for the last 10 years, she’s been the Gosse Family bassist .. and Jose Cuervo’s sweetheart. Though one is not the cause for the other.  

Girl Haggard has incorporated generations of musical influence with their own artistic flair to bring you their favorite Folk, Bluegrass and Country tunes. All delicately simple; with a strong focus on harmony. It’s a great mix of music, so you can sit back and relax; or kick off your boots and dance barefoot in the grass!
